EVENTWhat it's like to photograph stars on the red carpet at an international film festival.
Photographing stars on the red carpet at an international film festival is an intense mix of adrenaline, anticipation, and instinct. Everything happens in seconds. The lights, the cameras, the crowd, the constant movement. You have just a brief moment to connect with someone who is used to being photographed and create an image that stands out among hundreds of others.
Through my work on film projects, I’ve also had the opportunity to experience a different side of this world — beyond the red carpet, in places the public never sees. Being around actors throughout the entire journey, from preparations and backstage moments to the premiere itself and the after-party, offers a much more intimate perspective on the people behind the public image.
What I love about this world is the contrast between the spectacle and the quieter moments in between. A spontaneous expression, a subtle gesture, a moment of genuine connection — details that often reveal more than the perfectly timed red-carpet pose.
It’s a world where you learn to trust your eye, react instinctively, and look beyond the obvious. And for me, that’s where the most interesting photographs happen.
